For three weeks in the autumn of 2011, activists angry about the current economic situation — and the hand corporations and banks had in it — had been converging and camping out on a small park in the Financial District in Manhattan. And for the most part, it was peaceful. But on Oct. 14, despite the city postponing evicting the campers, police moved in during a morning protest march.
